Indigenous communities can become
victims of economic development

Protimos provides access to justice to indigenous and marginalised communities to protect them from the unjust exploitation of their natural and cultural heritage.

Protimos works to assist communities in the assertion of their legitimate rights, and build the legal capacity of affected communities to advocate effectively for themselves in their dealings with government and business. Gradually a community will become self-sufficient, emerging from poverty and marginalisation to become full participants in an evolving economy.
