As the Executive Chairman of ‘The Cardew Group’, Anthony Cardew has more than three decades of City experience and has advised some of the world’s top companies on a wide range of financial and other issues.

Trustee of PET

A consultant at the global law firm Clifford Chance, Jeremy Carver is a highly experienced international lawyer, with extensive knowledge of the development sector through his work with International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Transparency International (TI).

Fiona Darroch

Executive Director of the Foundation

Fiona Darroch is a founding Director of Protimos, and now divides her professional life between Protimos and her practice at the Bar, where she specialises in environmental law.


Jennifer McDermott

Director of the Foundation and Trustee of PET

Jennifer McDermott is Head of Media and Public Law at the international law firm Withers and has a wealth of human rights experience. She is also a trustee and Chairs the Executive Board of the human rights organisation JUSTICE and a trustee of The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace.


Julia Paton

Director of the Foundation and Trustee of PET

Julia Paton is a psychotherapist who has also worked as a solicitor, with an interest in human rights activism. She has a LLM from Cambridge in International Law.


Dr Alexandra Shaw

Director of the Foundation and Trustee of PET

Alexandra Shaw is a development economist with thirty years of experience working on African issues, particularly in the field of livestock development and on health issues affecting both people and their livestock.
